Role Overview:

We’re hiring a Platform Engineer to help us scale the infrastructure and tooling behind one of the fastest-growing PropTech platforms in the U.S.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role. You’ll be focused on making the invisible visible—removing friction, building internal tools, and ensuring everything from deploys to observability just works.

Think of it like ropes You’re the one creating new rope-making and knot-tying techniques. You don’t just use tools—you build them. You make sure the entire team’s ropes are fast, reliable, and strong enough to handle whatever comes next.

🔧 What You’ll Work On

• Lead technical design and implementation of platform-wide systems: AWS CDK-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and deployment workflows.

• Design, maintain, and scale our AWS infrastructure (Lambdas, Redshift, VPCs, IAM roles, SQS, etc.) to support product growth.

• Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and logging through DataDog, enabling proactive issue detection and resolution.

• Own our platform’s evolution—ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence—while supporting the team’s productivity and velocity.

• Mentor and empower engineers to deliver production-ready, observable systems with clean boundaries and platform-aligned architecture.

• Document platform patterns, evangelize platform usage across teams, and be an advocate for developer experience.

• Act as a strategic thought partner for the future of our platform—balancing short-term delivery with long-term maintainability.

🧠 What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in software/platform/infrastructure engineering.

• Strong AWS experience (CDK, Lambdas, Redshift, IAM, SQS, VPC, etc.).

• Deep experience with CI/CD, especially GitHub Actions (or similar), and observability tools like DataDog.

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, TypeScript, Node.js, and monorepo tools like Nx or Orval.

• You care about developer experience, system reliability, and scalable infrastructure.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, product-focused startup environment.

• Excellent communication—you can explain technical tradeoffs clearly and align with cross-functional teams.
